Exam Books

There are various books through which we can prepare for the exam.

List of Books 


  • Dental Decks ( latest edition)
  • First Aid for NBDE Part 1
  • Mosby
  • Kaplan
  • ASDA Papers (K to N series or to the latest series)

Everybody has different capability of understanding topics, different time to prepare for the exam. So they should choose the books accordingly.
i had 3.5-4 months to prepare and during that time i revised thrice dental decks, 1 first aid and once asda papers.
If you have more time and want comprehensive study then you can take up Kaplan. I wont recomment Mosby to anyone as i personally think its waste of time.
ASDA papers are a MUST.
I had few repeats from these papers, apart from repeats they are actually really good to test yourself. 

You just have to pass the exam, there is not any percentile for pass. The result comes in PASS/FAIL.
So rather then cramming from every other book just make really good concepts of the topics and knowledge that you already have.

    every book is good and has some good points.
    but my suggestion would be it is waste of time.. do not study it

    First of all, Thank you very much ! Secondly I am going to get First Aid, Dental decks, and ASDA Papers. Do you recommend to buy Kaplan also ? or is it waste of time ?

    First at all, I want to say THANK YOU for being a great person and helping people like me that are very confuse in this process. It is very stressful, but this page make feel confident. So, I have First ID, Dental Decks and a lot of ASDA test packet. The thing is I don't know where do I have to start. Another question is Do you think that KAPLAN Tesprep (course $699) will be helpful or not? BTW I downloaded your material. You are amazing. Thanks again.

      Start with Dental decks, and if you have really bad memory and think you dont remember anything, and get your basics strong first and later move to Dental decks.. its really good

      Honestly i dont know about it. i didnt use them. but if you have ample time and you can spend that much amount then give it a try and please then go give your precious feedback here. So that others can know it too...
